Permission to Send Voluntary Return Letter
Dear Parent:
In order to encourage voluntary resolutions to International Parental Child Abduction cases, the U.S. Central Authority normally sends a letter to the taking parent informing him or her of the application for return of the child under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction and requesting that he or she consider voluntarily returning the child to the habitual residence. A sample of this letter is attached.
Please be aware that there is a risk that the abductor will flee upon receipt of this letter. We ask you to consider carefully your family’s circumstances before authorizing us to send this letter. If you decide you would like us to send the letter, please complete and sign the authorization below.
I, Jorge Ramon Guadalupe Rivera Lopez, authorize the Office of Children’s Issues, as the U.S. Central Authority under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, to send a Voluntary Return Letter to Janet Nieri Villareal once my child’s location has been confirmed.
